Author biographies

Siobhan Wall is a writer and artist currently living and working in The Netherlands. For the past few years she has been researching Quiet Amsterdam, a black and white photobook about quiet and tranquil places in the Dutch capital. She initially studied at Cambridge University, followed by a degree in Fine Art at Central St Martin’s College of Art and Design, and an MA in Visual Culture (Distinction) at Middlesex University.

For over ten years Siobhan Wall worked as a senior lecturer, teaching photography, museum curating and fine art at universities in London, Oxford and Epsom. The author of numerous articles on contemporary art for international journals, more recently Siobhan has curated group exhibitions for British museums and galleries. She is currently writing Don’t Make me Draw That!, a book about contemporary drawing strategies, as well as carrying out research for Quiet London, the next title in the photobook series.
